Recruitment requirements

1.  Minimum 18 years old

2.  Live within 10 miles of station 23 located at 13326 Stevens Canyon Rd.

3. 3. Have a clean California driver’s license
   

4. 4.In good health and fitness
   

5. 5.Volunteers need a valid California EMT license, this needs to be obtained before they join the department.
   

6. 6.Attend group training sessions.
   

Department expectations:

1. a. Must attend all training sessions.
   

b. New volunteers first nine months are put on probationary period.  After the end of the nine months, the probationary firefighter has shown he or she is dedicated they will be issued equipment including turnout gear, a pager, and will be put on the department insurance policy.
