Stevens Creek Volunteer
Fire Department.

Serving and protecting Santa Clara County.

Serving our community since 1978, the Stevens Creek Volunteer Fire Department provides fire suppression, first aid, rescue, evacuation, hazardous materials containment, and education for residents and visitors in Stevens Canyon, Montebello, Redwood Gulch, and Mt. Eden.

It is our goal to provide a public safety service for our community in fire or rescue situations. We also strive to educate the community on wildfire preparedness in the wildland-urban interface (WUI) where we live. We’re always looking for volunteers - join us!

Fire Prevention

We work with a number of partners and agencies to educate our community members about how to prevent and prepare for emergencies. SCVFD urges you to be fire safe and prevent fires before they start.

One of the most important things you can do as a resident to help firefighters is to create a defensible space around your property.

Emergency Reponse

In the case of an emergency call 911. We strive to provide emergency response as quickly possible to reduce damage to property and, more importantly, loss of life.

When it comes to wildfire, it’s important to have an action plan. Let us help you prepare for an emergency evacuation.

Our Community

We wouldn’t be able to offer the services we do if it wasn’t for our generous community members. We ask each of you to support our efforts so we can continue to serve our community.

As always, costs are ongoing for your protection and service for operations, equipment, and training. As an all-volunteer organization, your SCVFD still depends on your financial support.

“We need support now more than ever as we aim to add and train new volunteers to better protect our community.”

— Orion Larson, SCVFD Fire Chief
